01.  Is my name available as a domain name?

To see if someone has already registered your name as a domain
       name (i.e. www.yourname.com), go to www.networksolutions.com,
type in your name (as one word without ".com"), and click "Go". It
will tell you whether or not your name is taken.

But don't register it there. Keep reading.

Whether you are ready to get a website or not, it is always a good
idea to reserve your name so that no one else can take it. To do this,
all you have to do is go to www.GoDaddy.com and register it. It's only
$8.95/year. When they ask about hosting your website, choose the
       option "Park it for free."

Now that you know about registering your domain name, the next step
is to take a look at our web design packages to see which one fits
       your needs.

02.  What is a domain name?

A domain name is simply the word(s) or letters after "www.". So, our
domain name is "HearTheHype.com". Your name as a domain name
would be "yourname.com". There are also extensions like, ".net" and
".org" which you are also able to use, but usually, ".net" implies that it
is a network service, and ".org" usually implies that it is a non-profit
organization. However, those correlations doesn't really apply much
nowadays, as anyone can buy domains with those extensions. But
most people associate ".com" with a website. So most people prefer to
get a domain with a ".com" extension.

03.  Why do I need a website? I'm not famous yet!

The fact that you aren't famous yet is even more reason to have a
website. Since not everyone knows you, nor is everyone familiar with
your work yet, you need as much exposure as possible. The more
exposure you get, the more people will see your work and offer you
       gigs.

An HTH Website can offer that to you, and more. Not only will anyone,
anywhere, with a computer and a connection to the Internet be able to
view you and your work by going to your website, but you, being an
HTH Member, will also be exposed to all of our visitors as well, as we
will be featuring and promoting you and your work on our site!

Another great thing about having a website is that not only can you put
up your current pictures, demo reels, voiceover demos, etc., but you
can also put up your work that might not be as current, but is still great
work of yours. It might be frustrating to you because you think some
older work of yours is great, but your agent doesn't think that it is
current enough. With an HTH Website, you can show all of your talent!

04.  What if I am just starting out, and I don't have much work to put
       up on my website yet?

That is why we have our HTH Starter Package. Everyone has to start
somewhere, and you never know how or where you are going to be
discovered. There are countless stories of successful actors who were
discovered before they even had a chance to be trained. The kid who
was in T2 comes to mind, Edward Furlong. He never had any
acting experience, was discovered by a casting director (see mini bio),
and was offered the part opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. So, you
never know. And the sooner you start getting exposure, the better
chance you have! Time stops for no one!

05.  Isn't making a website complicated? How do I get one?

Let us worry about that. It's very easy for you. All you have to do is
send us the content: your headshot(s), resume, mini-bio/bio, pictures
for your portfolio, contact info, your latest projects, your demo reels,
and your audio reels, etc. That's it! We do the rest!

You can either send us the content via email, via regular mail, or by
dropping it off in our HTH Lockbox. The addresses will be given to you
       at the time of purchase.

How do you get one? Go to our HTH Design section to see what we
offer. Then contact us and we'll take it from there.

06.  What format do you want my reels in?

For audio, we prefer either MP3's (which you can email), or CD's.

For video, we prefer your reels to be on DVD. If you need to have your
reel converted to DVD, contact us, and we can refer you to some
       places.

07.  How long can my demo reels be?

You can have up to 10 minutes of video, and up to 10 minutes of audio
for your reels with the HTH Professional Package. And they don't have
to be 1 ten minute reel. They can be 2 five minute reels, 5 two
       minute reels, etc.

If you don't have any audio demos, then you can have 10 more minutes
       of video.

Of course, you can always put up more than ten minutes of audio or
       video for an additional cost.

It depends which package you get, but it usually takes from 2 to

09.  OK, I'm interested. What's the next step?

The next step is to contact us either by email or by phone, and state
which HTH Website Design Package you are interested in. We will
go over everything with you, and advise you on what we think would
       work best for you.

After everything is decided on, all you have to do is send us a 50%
deposit for the website package and your content, and we can get
started. If you send your payment via Paypal.com using your credit
card, visa check card, or checking account, then we can get started
       within a matter of minutes!

11.  If I want to purchase the HTH Professional Package to take       advantage of a promotion, can I add my demo later?

Yes, you can, at no additional cost, because you will have already paid
for them by paying for the HTH Professional Package. However, there
is a time limit on how long you have to get us the content. Also, when
we finish the site with the content that you have given us, we will need
the balance of the cost of the website, along with any applicable
hosting fees, in order to make it live (live = up and running).
